Software Engineer (Space Dynamics Lab)

Entry-to-mid-level position available to develop software for exercise simulation applications.  Candidates should possess familiarity in one or more of the following areas: software design, algorithm development and efficient implementation, distributed computing, data compression, sensor data fusion, data visualization, graphical user interfaces, image and signal processing, remote sensing, database design, sensor modeling and web development.  A working knowledge of artificial intelligence algorithms and design is also a strong plus.

Position requires BS minimum in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.  Strong computing background, knowledge of Java, and software development experience required.  Knowledge of C++ is also strongly preferred.  Must be able to work effectively both independently and as a team member.  Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential.  Some travel may be required.  The successful candidate must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance; eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
