Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Engineer



Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking a qualified scientist/engineer to work in the area of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image processing algorithm development and implementation.

Requires BS degree or equivalent (MS preferred) in EE, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Must have a strong background in digital signal and/or image processing, mathematics, and software development. Must be proficient in C or C++. Experience with SAR image processing is preferred, including stripmap and spotlight modes and related processing. Ability to conduct research study and develop custom algorithms. Allgorithm and software development experience with Matlab is desired. Application programming experience under Linux/Unix and/or Windows environment is desired. Familiarity with cluster based distributed computing is an advantage but not essential. Must be able to work in a team. Must be able to obtain security clearance (US citizenship required).
